|
Iwasaki Tsunemasa Watercolours of flowers and plants from the manuscript version of the "Honzo Zufu". (Illustrated Flora of Japan, consisting of ca 2000 plates. Started in 1830, the printing turned out to be a commercial failure, but the artist continued the work in manuscript). Only 6 copies of the Honzo Zufu were finished by hand. (At the beginning of the 20th century, a printed edition was published. - Nissen 1017n). Image size 21,5 x 15 cm. Ca.1835. RARE.
